Dear Baby Zoey

First oh all I could just squeeze you because you are so cute. You look like a little porcelain doll and you probably are the name size as one. Ahhh you melt my heart.

Ok, so they bumped you back up to 2 on your ox because you weren't breathing very well. You still can't keep your body temp up so they have to turn your cocoon temp higher. Mommy wishes so bad that she could get in there with you. I would heat you right up:)! Your weight is 3 pounds 4 ounces(so you gained two ounces. Yay)! They will do your eye screening next week sometime. I pray all goes well with that. Your goals (that on on your board) for today are to decrease the number of desats, rest, and tolerate your feedings.

Mommy is still pumping every 3-4 hours and maybe getting some drops...grrr!!! Kimmi however, is amazing and giving you tons of milk!!! You really need to thank her....when you can talk. Lol. That true love right there!

Mommy is holding you skin to skin right now and loving every minute of it and so are you. Mommys is going to sing you some lullabies. Signing off, over and out :)

Dear Baby Zoey

Yes, every time without fail when I ask the nurses how you are doing, this is their reply, "she is so feisty"!! They had to put socks over your hands so you wouldn't pull you tubes out but you somehow manage to do this anyways. You little stinker, but you're soo cute!!! Your feedings are up to 27ml(?) and you are digesting it well. They have your Ox at 1.5 and you are keeping it at 26%. I asked when you would be ready to come out of your cocoon and they said when you could maintain your temp on your own. Once you do this then you can be moved into a crib!!! Yay, so exciting. This means it will be easier for mommy to hold you.

You weigh 3.2 pounds. They let you go home when you are closer to 5 pounds so we have a bit of a ways to go. Grandpa said he would put weights in your diaper so it would make you weigh more. Lol. Mommy wants you home so bad but I'll wait until you are strong and healthy:) Daddy,Elyse and Jace can't wait for you to come home too. Ely and Jace always talk about you and how they get to take turns to play with you. I'm guessing that will last about five minutes. Lol

However, when you do come home it will be RSV session. This means that mommy won't be able to take you anywhere because you are more susceptible of getting sick. We have to be so careful with you, (Avagard in Avagard out).

We are beyond grateful for your feisty spirit. You need that to keep fighting and stay alive. I hope you know what great lengths, countless prayers, fasting etc. that have got you here. You are such a miracle and we thank Heavenly Father everyday for this!!

Dear baby zoey

Omg drum roll please............................

Zoey hit 3 pounds!! Yay!!!! I was so excited I started screaming with joy. Sorry nurse Emily.

Also, some very exciting news.... bunny had a beautiful baby boy this morning. I can't wait for you guys to meet. I'm pretty sure you are going to be best friends:)!!

Her oxygen is at a two so I'm guessing when they get to zero she has a different oxygen flow.

They are not going to be giving her caffeine anymore to see if that helps slow down her very high heart rate. she is on 25 ml of feeds with a vitamin. Next week sometime they will check her eyes. I'm praying this test comes back good but we are worried about this one. They check her Hearing 3-5 days before she goes home, probably October sometime.

I'm wondering when she

can be out of the incubator? Any other questions I should have or that you want to know? My mind goes blank when they ask me this. Grr

Mostly we are pumped for her being our little sumo, hitting the hefty "3"pound mark!!! I think we need to celebrate!!!!!!
